Last day in Prague

mandag 4. juli 2011

Today's the last evening in Prague. It's quite sad because it's such a lovely city! Prague is a vast metropolis with loads of interesting history and buildings, and it's a city I'll definitively visit again.

We started the day by taking a free walking tour around the city (our plans were to do it yesterday, but since it started to rain heavily we decided to look around on our own instead) We started in the old town square at 11am - we then walked around for 6 hours together with a passionate guide, watching and listening to the local history. We saw the Týn Church, St. Nicholas' Church, Old Town Hall, The Jewish town, The Powder Gate, Municipal house and House of the Black Madonna, to name a few. We liked it so much that we decided to join another tour wich dealt with the other part of the city on the other side of Vltava River. We then saw John Lennon's Wall, Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, St. Vitus Cathedral, The Loreta, Mozart's house etc. If you ever visit Prague, we absolutely recommend you to join Sandemans New Prague tours! :-)
